Smartbook: a new tech class?

When netbooks were launched, I instantly developed a liking for them. I have carried a high-end multimedia/gaming notebook to the office for years, so I welcomed the lighter option offered by netbooks. I expected netbooks to deliver a new experience to consumers, with their unexpectedly affordable price. But the reality was a little different from my expectations.
