Telechips 7 inch tablet overclocked to 800MHz, almost does 1080p video


Check this baby out. A Telechips based tablet has been tweaked up the ying yang offering an overclocked ARM core and a slick Windows CE interface that might just fool you into thinking its Android. World's first full blown Shanzhai Notebook features 14.1 display, HDMI and Intel i3


There are plenty of shanzhai operations out there who have been quite happily pumping out Intel Atom based netbooks as easy as cheese from a tube, but few if ever have crossed the bridge to full sized, fully fledged notebooks. That is, until now. Known as the Pioneer S90, this aptly named Shanzhai device is the first of its kind and pairs a 14.1" display with Intel's i3 processor, a HDMI port and a DVD burner.

Hanvon and Spring Design change underwear in e-book re-branding


Re-branding in the shanzhai world is like changing underwear ... it happens all the time. Maybe that's not such a good analogy, but I'll go with it! This e-book reader (pictured above) looks similar to Spring Design’s Alex. That's because Hanvon has just rebranded Spring Design’s Alex without even bothering to change the specs and the Alex logo! The worst part is that Hanvon wants to sell its "T61" model for USD 526 whereas Spring Design sells it for just USD 399!Read more.

Shenzhen based manufacturer BBT Electronics has introduced yet another Macbook Air clone called the A1819. It features an 11.6-inch widescreen display supporting resolutions up to 1366x768.
